Design Your Own Beautiful Wedding Ring

Donna Monday

It used to be that if you wanted to buy a nice custom-made wedding ring, you'd have to visit some fancy high-end jewelry store and be willing to part with a large portion of your wedding budget.

Well that's still the case for some people, but thanks to our modern times it's now possible for you and anyone else who wants a custom wedding ring to create a unique diamond wedding ring from the comfort of your own home.

Oleg Cassini will have nothing on you as you sit in your chair sipping a soda looking at the various wedding ring photos that your favorite online jewelry store makes easily available.

You will quickly see that it's easy to design your own wedding ring online. The first thing you want to look at when you set out to build your own wedding ring is the setting. You'll have your choice of wedding ring settings in various metals like: gold, white gold, sterling silver, and platinum. While studying the stylish settings, be sure to check your ring size for accuracy in purchasing a comfortable fitting wedding ring.

Next, you'll want to select the right diamond to fit your setting. The common diamond cut shapes are: round, pear, emerald, princess, marquise, oval, radiant, heart, and Asscher. You will probably take a while just studying all the attributes of the various diamond shapes and sizes. Of course, you can always choose to purchase the setting online and then take it to your local jeweler to have it fit with a diamond.

You are the designer extraordinaire! You are not bound by what someone else thinks you will like. So, go ahead and feel free to create your own wedding ring. There's nobody else to please but you.

And you will just love the results.

Gemstone Collecting
Debra Hamer

Personally, I have become fascinated with gemstones (precious and semi-precious stones). I am amazed at the array of colors and properties of these little treasures found in the earth. God created something truly amazing for us to look at and to adorn ourselves. Many of these tiny treasures are a fantastic investment. Purchasing a rare and beautiful gemstone that will
significantly appreciate is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy and benefit. Making a return or
to pass down through the generations, gemstone collecting can be a rewarding and profitable hobby.

I've been passionate about gemstones and collecting gemstones for quite some time now. My fascination started a couple of years ago and I've become an avid collector ever since. I am
exhilarated when I make a new find of beauty or value. Of all of the things I've collected in my life, this has been the most rewarding. I'm also making investments that will continue to increase in value for myself and my heir's.

I've gathered quite a lot of information about gemstones and thought it would be wonderful to put all of this information into one source for new collectors so they wouldn't have to do all of the searching and gleaning I've had to do to become a more knowledgeable gem enthusiast.

I've created an E-book for new gemstone collectors. You will find information on the most popular gemstones, tidbits about each, colors and properties, the rarity and cost of certain gemstones, various charts and guides, birthstone & anniversary choices, investment recommendations, etc. All of this information will be at your fingertips for your education and enjoyment. You can even download the first chapter to see just a small portion of the
information you will receive when purchasing the E-book.

Not only is gemstone collecting a hobby, but also an investment, because whenever you purchase a gemstone or piece of jewelry with precious gems and metals you are making an investment. An
investment that will only appreciate!

You can purchase Debra's E-book titled "A New Collector's Gemstone Guide"

Making Mom Feel Special

Alli Ross

On Mother's Day we celebrate the women who nurture and raise our families, lead us to our first day of school, and share in each small achievement. She is superwoman of the household. However, on this special day, let mom throw her feet up and give her the royal treatment she deserves.

Here are some ideas on how to make her day special:

Make her breakfast in bed.

Put together a beauty supply package, stuffed with massage oils, lotions, and all of her favorite beauty products.

Make here a homemade card. Homemade gifts also top the list.

Give her a gift certificate to the local spa for her and a friend.... This is relaxing as it gets.

Have some quality family time and take some lunch out to the park.

Secrets acts of kindness all year long..... The Best gift of All.

While moms everywhere will receive gifts ranging from flowers, hugs, kisses, jewelry, and candles, most just want to be "Queen for a Day". So, this Mother's Day, be sure to treat her extra special.

Looking to Start a New Business? Consider the Personalized Products Industry
Nancy Wurtzel

Looking to launch a new consumer products business that makes and markets gifts? Why not consider a niche that has grown dramatically over the past few decades and still shows signs of continued expansion? The market has your name written all over it -- the personalized products industry.

In the U.S. today, there are more than 100,000 businesses selling personalized gift products with annual sales of at least $27 billion, and these numbers are continuing to increase.

Why is the personalized gift market considered such a rapid growth industry? Several forces are at work currently driving the personalization market.

1. The Economy: The U.S. is just coming out of an economy slump and recession. During tough economic times, consumers often look for added value when they make discretionary purchases. For example, when shopping for a gift, price conscious buyers look for a selection that will make an impression and be lasting. Consumers perceive that they are getting both when they purchase a personalized product. In general, buyers are actively seeking personalized gifts, and this activity and interest is moving the industry forward.

2. New Technology: Advances in technology have made a wider variety of products available and much more affordable. For example, machines that personalize towels and clothing once cost thousands of dollars and weigh hundreds of pounds. Now, a much smaller, cleaner, quieter, computer-driven piece of equipment can produce the same quality goods -- but at a fraction of the price. And, if manufacturing upfront costs are less, products become more affordable.

3. Product Selection: Since technology has made production easier and cheaper, there has been an explosion of personalized goods and gifts. Gifts range from the inexpensive and predictable to the upscale and highly innovative. Most gift stores offer some personalized gift selections and there are now many stores, websites and even mail-order catalogs with literally thousands of consumer choices.

4. Stand-Out Gifts: Personalized gifts are memorable. For instance, parents will always remember who gave their newborn a charming personalized picture frame, but can't recall who sent the expensive outfit that baby outgrew in a few weeks. A personalized present is also a great choice for the "person who has everything."

PERSONALIZED HISTORY
The personalized gift market is primarily a U.S. phenomenon. Its roots can be traced back to our early American history when silversmiths practiced their skills by engraving family names or initials on one-of-a-kind silver trays, bowls and jewelry.

As the country expanded westward, saddle and gun makers would occasionally personalize their wares, while wood artisans used their talents to create uniquely decorated trunks with family names or crests.

These early personalized items were always made to order and available only to those who could afford to pay the price -- which was, at that time, a very small percentage of the population.

Not much changed until the late 1950s when mass production brought the "pre-made" personalized gifts to middle America.

Suddenly, every local corner drug store offered displays of inexpensive pencils, key chains and jewelry featuring names like Linda, Mike, Tom, Cindy, Mary and Dave.

However, most of these personalized items were considered cheap imported gifts aimed at kids and teenagers. And, if you had an unusual name, you were out of luck because all these novelty products were pre-made at the factory with the most common names of the day.

While there are still many of these low-ticket items available today, the personalized products industry has grown and evolved over the past forty odd years. Probably the biggest change that has moved the industry forward has been advances in technology.

Lower costs for machinery means that it's now possible to have personalization equipment in decentralized locations rather than one central processing plant. Additionally, personalized gifts that once would take weeks to obtain can now be created in a matter of days or even minutes. Consequently, gifts that once had a long ordering lead time, are now almost impulse buys for today's busy consumer.

Computer-driven technology also has made literally thousands of personalized gift choices in a variety of price ranges available to the consumer.

BUYING AND SELLING
What type of companies sell personalized gifts? Major catalogs, countless ecommerce sites, upscale department stores, specialty boutiques, general dry-goods retail storefronts, drug store chains and thousands of small entrepreneurs.

What types of personalized items are consumers buying? Almost anything can be personalized, so the choices are many.

Just pick up a catalog and you will find robes for adults and kids, fine crystal, quilts, keepsake gifts for newborn babies, expensive gifts to mark a graduation, wedding or anniversary, a variety of clothing and even furniture. Visit a local retail store and you will find stationery, jewelry, wall art, T-shirts, mugs and dinnerware, glasses, picture frames and much more.

Why are these gifts so attractive for so many sellers? Any retailer will agree that a personalized gift means a little more effort up-front, but in the long run fewer returns. Plus, these products often carry a higher price point -- and therefore profits -- making these gifts very attractive.

AMERICANS LOVE PERSONALIZED GIFTS
While you may find some personalized gift items in other countries, you will not see the same wide range of products that are found in the U.S. Why has the personalized gift market thrived here at home?

It's really pretty simple according to those who study consumers. Americans -- young and old alike -- love to see their names on a product because it makes them feel special and unique.

And, American consumers are always looking for products with a slightly different spin, and this, too, is accomplished by purchasing a personalized product.

Faith Popcorn, who studies and reports on nationwide trends, has coined the word "egonomics" to describe the personalized product phenomenon. Other trend forecasters agree that the personalized gift industry is here to stay and will continue steady growth as more products are brought to market in response to consumer demand.

The Pearl Necklace -- A Timeless Beauty

Sam Serio

It has been said that of all the pieces of jewelry in the world, a pearl necklace is the only thing that a woman should not be without. And that's no wonder, for a pearl necklace is the embodiment of classic sophistication and timeless elegance. It goes with a variety of outfits, from casual day wear to formal evening attire. And depending on the type of pearl and color, there are various pearl necklace styles suitable for the very young, those enjoying their golden years, and almost everyone else in the middle.

The price of a pearl necklace depends on the quality of its pearls. Saltwater pearls are generally more expensive than freshwater ones, which are cultured. The sheen and the thickness of the pearls' nacre also affect the price, as well as the size and roundness of the pearls themselves. Pearl necklaces of various colors are available on the market. Smaller pearls in light hues of blue or pink are usually more suitable for young children, while the creamier, ivory-toned pearls are preferred by older women. Jewelry pieces made from black pearls are very, very expensive, since these pearls are so rare.

According to Chinese folklore, pearls are the tears of a dragon. In Roman mythology, they are the tears of Venus. Jewelry designers, in their tireless efforts to do justice to the legendary beauty of these gems, have been adding their own twists to the pearl necklace. Aside from the classic strand, the pearls used in necklaces are sometimes set in gold, silver or platinum. Some designers also mix pearls with other gems to create a unique effect. Extra ornaments, such as charms or a brooch, can also be attached to a pearl necklace to give it a personalized flair.

Caring for a pearl necklace does not involve a lot of fuss. The most advisable thing to do is to wear it often, because if it's stored away for long periods of time, it will dry up and lose its sheen. The body's natural oils will keep the pearls looking lustrous and fresh. It's also important to avoid having the pearls come in contact with substances such as hair spray or body lotion, since these can also adversely affect the pearls' condition.

The popularity of the pearl necklace has never waned both among ordinary people and society's elite. The quintessential fashion plate, Jackie Kennedy, had a passion for pearls; so does actress Maria Berenson. Other celebrities often photographed wearing pearl necklaces are Michelle Pfeiffer, Sophia Loren, Jennifer Lopez and Paris Hilton. The versatility of pearls is such that fashion experts are even predicting an increase in the number of men who will start wearing pearl-accented dress accessories. For now, however, there is very little to surpass the elegance of the sight of a pearl necklace gracing the neckline of a woman, whether she's a celebrity or not.

Celebrating the ME in MumME
Peggy Porter

Copyright 2005 Peggy Porter

Another Mother's Day is upon us. A day in which our loved ones bestow us with handmade gifts, breakfast in bed, supper out and sometimes even jewelry!!! It is a day for our family to show how much they appreciate the job we do.

I remember after my first child was born, I developed this deep respect for other mothers and immediately felt connected to all of them. I felt a bond that only strengthened the further into motherhood I went.

So on this very special weekend, I want to honor, not only my own mother, but all mothers. You hold a very special place in my heart and I know first hand the challenges and rewards that we experience on a daily basis. Motherhood is several professions rolled up in to one; nurse, teacher, housekeeper, referee, cook, manager and many more. The pay is poor but the benefits are the best.

My wish for all mothers is that you don't wait for the one day of the year before YOU recognize the contribution you make in the lives of others. It is so important to appreciate, on a daily basis, the job you do. We often second guess our mothering ability. We focus on the times we lost patience instead of the times we didn't. We count the times we yelled instead of the times we said I love you. We fixate on the mess of the house instead of recognizing that the time spent reading with the kids was a better decision.

As this Mother's day rolls around, sit back and enjoy every second of the love and appreciation bestowed on you. It is a day to relax and reap all the rewards of motherhood. When this occasion passes however, make a point to keep that appreciation and love flowing from within you. At the end of your day, recognize the contribution you have made. Focus on what you gave to your family, not what you didn't. Value your own self worth as a person and a mother. Honor yourself daily with a few words of encouragement or another act of self-care. Take time for you. Celebrate the ME in MumME because she certainly is someone to celebrate. Cheers!!!

Cianna Oliver

Artists, are you looking to sell your art online, but your pocketbook can't take a lot of pressure, you came to the right place! The internet is a wonderful place, and the good news is that there are a lot of free online marketing resources available.

But first, you need to think about exactly what kind of computer skills you have, or are willing to learn. This will determine what type of sites you will be needing, to be able to market your work. There are certain things you will need no matter what online help there is.

1. You will need to be able to at least take digital photos, and put then online for others to see, Or have someone else do this. Now, a scanner is a great way to do this, and much cheaper than a digital camera.

2. Do you know the basics of web site development? If not, then you will need to find either an online store in which to market your work, or at least a photo album or portfolio in which to show your work.

Guess what? I found a turnkey solution to opening a store. Best of all, it is completely free! They offer free merchant set up, they use the oscommerce shopping cart.

2. If you would like to find more freebies. www.thefreesite.com - lots of free info

The internet is a wonderful resource, but the fact is that you need to generate a lot of traffic to make any significant amount of sales. One way to increase exposure is to take advantage of free links, and link exchanging on sites that are relevant to yours. Most of these sites are undoubtedly larger than yours, (especially if you are beginning), and generate traffic. At least your work will be seen by a larger audience. Your site will also start to gain some recognition with the search engines.
If you choose your sites wisely, the type of people who will be seeing your work will be your target audience. Those who are most interested in your work! A great way to link exchange is by creating articles, and linking inside a relevant article. This gives people a lot of extra knowledge and information relevant to their interests, and the search engines are more friendly to these type of links.

Another good way to get some increased exposure is to belong and post your work in some online galleries. There are many free ones that allow you to post 4 or 5 photos of your art work.

The Modern Bridesmaid Has Style!
Sher Matsen

It's a whole new day, and there is a whole new look for bridesmaids. It's a welcome change from the past years. At it's not just the bridesmaids look that has gotten a facelift, the brides are sporting a whole new look too.

Traditional wedding gowns and traditional white will always be a choice. That's a tradition that's just not going to disappear. And that's okay. But the choices now available for the modern bride are welcome change, allowing those creative juices to flow, and one's own personality to stand out.

The history of the bridesmaids attire is quite interesting. In past centuries brides wore elaborate colorful gowns, and bridesmaids wore similar gowns. This was to disguise the bride and protect her from being kidnapped by evil spirits. By the Victorian era things had changed producing brides that wanted to stand out in the crowd. Thus the formal elaborate white wedding gown entered the wedding fashion scene. However the bridesmaids attire didn't change, remaining bold and frilly.

Well this century bridesmaids have a lot more to say about what they wear. Not only have the traditional dresses taken on a more sophisticated and elegant look. Many brides now let their bridesmaids choose their own dress based on the chosen color scheme. All bridesmaids weren't created equal. By allowing them to choose a dress that flatters them, you have happier bridesmaids and better photo ops.

Gowns and dresses worn by the modern bridesmaid are often functional enough for other formal events and gatherings. A much smarter alternative to the expensive gown that's worn once then buried deep in the closet never to be seen again. We all remember wearing one of those "awful" dresses at some point.

There are also no longer fast and set rules on how many bridesmaids you must have. The size of your wedding often relates to how many attendants, and these days the choice is entirely up to you. Tradition has gone out the window, a pleasing thought for many future brides. You can even have more than one maid of honor if you wish. The rules you must play by are your own rules.

The same new rules apply to your flower girl[s] and ring bearer[s] choose more than one, have only one, have one of each. The best age range for this very important little people's job is between 5 and 7. Younger children have a harder time staying focused. Now if you don't' mind if they mess up a little bit, then by all means you can choose a younger child. After all they can be a great source of amusement! Older children will also be thrilled to be chosen to man the guestbook or help guests. It makes them feel extra special.

The more bridesmaids you have the more coordination and communication your going to have to take care of. Remember you'll have plenty of issues to deal with from dresses, to nails, to hair, to jewelry. So don't choose more bridesmaids than you think you can handle. This is supose to be a happy time for you and stress doesn't make a person happy.

Forget the old theory that if you don't include everyone that's close to you, there will be hard feelings. Most women have outgrown this childish thought pattern, and recognize that the modern bride has tough choices to make to stay within budget and fulfill her special day. Sometimes a future bride just has too many close friends to have them all in the wedding party. Relax! Invite them to the wedding, and if you want ask them to do special favors such as perhaps your nails or your hair, depending on their own unique talents.

The maid of honor has a role to play besides in the wedding party. She needs to be the brides right arm and help with any wedding tasks she can. She can help select the wedding gown, get the invitations in order, arrange a wedding shower, help with choosing a reception location, help decorate, or even help prepare the food. The duties that can be assigned to your made of honor are endless, just be sure not to overwhelm her with too many requests. Your maid of honor is like the brides personal first aid kit. Ready to fix anything that's broken.

Bridesmaids also play an important role by planning the bridal shower, preparing munchies, cake, or sandwiches for the shower. They are also there to support and help the bride whenever they can.

For the modern bride these are happy times, choices are endless, you can make your fashion statement and let your bridesmaid's make theirs. No more having to follow traditions unless you want to. Planning the perfect wedding has never been easier!

Prom: The night you'll never forget and it didn't even break Mom and Dad

Rose DesRochers

My daughter's grade 8 grad is coming up in June and I was eagerly thinking of ways to keep the cost down. Even grade 8 grad is a big time in a girls life. This is a night for my daughter to remember but it shouldn't cost me and my husband a fortune.

For many parents prom is an expensive time of year and families are struggling financially to give their son or daughter the perfect night that they will remember a life time. Well there is no reason why you can't give them that night but on a budget you can afford. I have put together ten tips to help you save a few dollars.

Attending a prom doesn't have to cost a fortune. Prom night doesn't have to break us. Girls the memories of prom will not be if you spent 20 dollars to get your nails done or arrived in a limo. The memories will be of who you were in school and the special times that you all shared.

1.The Tuxedo: Boys why bother renting that tuxedo when you can purchase a nice suit that you can wear again for under the cost of renting that tuxedo.

2.Hair and makeup: Girls the cost of hair and makeup is expensive. The boys are lucky they don't have to fork out this one. Hair, Makeup you're looking at an additional 80 dollars. For makeup call your local department store and see about getting your make up done on Prom day, also call around to your local salons and see if they have a package deal that includes both hair and makeup. You can also save money by having your mother put up your hair. Look at some of the styles for prom online and make a fun night with mom practicing the styles before the prom. You could also get in touch with Mary K and plan a makeup party early in the afternoon on prom day and the Mary K host will do your makeup free.

3.Limos: They are nice but they are so traditional and cost a lot. Why not gather a group of your friends together and do something off the wall. Arrive at your prom on the city bus or contact your school and rent a school bus for the evening and have all your friends pitch in.

4.The dress: Girls purchasing a new dress will cost you 200 dollars and for what something you won't wear again or will sit in your keep sake box. Why not shop on Ebay or your local used clothing store and get a dress for under the cost and then just pay the additional cost to have it dry cleaned. You may also want to check around with family and see if they have a bridesmaids dress or maybe your cousin still has her prom dress that you can borrow.

5. The flowers: Purchasing flowers from the flower store is going to cost you around 20 dollars. You can go to the craft store purchase the supplies to make your own corsages and boutonni for half the cost. They are so simple and fun to make. Make a fun day of it and invite your g/f over to make them with you.

6.The photos: Why hire a professional photographer when you can have dad take some nice photos with his digital camera and you can delete the ones that you don't like. Then you can save even more money by emailing them to friends and family.

7.Parties: Save on the big prom party. Gather a bunch of your friends together and have a fun post prom party. Some ideas might be a pool party or a bowling party.

8.The Jewelry: Girls, girls why pay the expensive cost of Jewelry when Mom and Gradma might have their own personal jewelry store right in their bedroom. The sentiments of borrowing something from Grandma will be more special than anything new that you purchase from the store for this special day.

9.The dinner: Save money by having a backyard barbeque or a romantic dinner at home with candles and the works and order take out.

10. Nails and Shoes: If your city has a beauty school, you can make a nail appointment and have a student put nails on you for a discounted price . You can exchange shoes with friends or purchase a nice pear of white pumps that you can wear again and again.

I hope that these ten useful tips will help you save money and still have your unforgettable night.

Burns and Burn Treatments
Steve Larson

There are an estimated 4,500 deaths and 45,000 hospitalizations per year in the United States as a result of burn-related injuries. A burn is a type of injury to the skin caused by heat, electricity, chemicals or radiation. Types of burns are divided into 3 categories; first degree, second degree and third degree. Each type of burn must be treated in a specific manner and it is important to know how to recognize each form of burn as well as the treatment methods used in each specific situation. Treating a burn in an incorrect manner can cause serious harm to the victim. Here is a summary of each form of burn as well as treatment methods for each:

1.First Degree Burns - This is the least serious type of burn and will usually heal on its own within a couple days. First degree burns typically heal completely and rarely result in any form of scarring. This type of burn injures the epidermis (top layer of skin) and usually produces a pink or reddish color on the area of skin which is burnt.

Treatment - First degree burns (also known as minor burns) can be treated at home and very rarely require medical assistance. Your best option is to run the burnt area under cool water for approximately 10 minutes to stop the burning. Do not use ice or cold water since they can potentially cause further the damage to the skin. If you are applying a bandage to the wound, make sure it is loose otherwise it will stick to the burn, become painful and possibly cause infection. Vitamins C, E and zinc will help with the healing process, but only in recommended amounts. Aloe Vera is said to have healing properties as well.

2.Second Degree Burns - This type of burn is an injury to the tissues in the body. Second degree burns are classified according to the amount of tissue they affect and how deep they are. Second degree burns not only injure the epidermis but continue down to the deeper layers of skin called the dermis. Second degree burns are usually bright red and produce blisters. This type of burn is likely to cause scarring and usually takes about one to three weeks to heal.

Treatment - Second degree burns require medical assistance and antibiotics are often prescribed to help the healing process. Call for medical help as soon as the burn occurs and make sure not to apply any form of lotion or greasy substance to the wound. These trap in heat and prevent the wound from healing correctly.

3.Third Degree Burns - Third degree burns destroy the dermis and epidermis and often affect other organs, tissues and bones. Third degree burns are considered the most serious of burns and often produce charred patches on the skin which are white, brown or black. There will likely be very little pain for a victim experiencing a third degree burn since the nerves will likely be destroyed and the victim may be in shock.

Treatment - All third degree burns require medical attention and it is crucial to get the victim to the hospital (or an ambulance on scene) immediately. You can assist the victim by removing jewelry and tight clothing from the burnt area before swelling occurs. Do not try and remove clothes if they are stuck to the wound. Never apply ice, cold water, lotions, ointments sprays or any other form of liquid to the wound. Third degree burns often require cosmetic surgery or skin grafting in order to heal.

Learning and understanding the types of burns and their treatment methods can potentially save your own life or the life of someone else.

REVERSE CLASSIFIEDS MAKE SENSE FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS

Andy Anderson

1) THE SELLER.

Since the beginning of time it seems that whenever
we've wanted to sell something we've either hung a
notice outside our cave, or on our local shop's notice
board, or placed classified advertisements in Local,
State, or Trade newspapers. Today we can even try
placing for-sale ads on the internet.

After placing our ads and seeing them published we
expect the phone to ring, or emails to come pouring in,
so put off going shopping confident that we'll still
get to the game in the afternoon after making our sale.
When the phone does eventually ring it's our friend
asking for confirmation of our presence at the stadium
in an hour. The phone then starts going crazy and
emails dribble in, so we have to stay in, only for
those people to be "time wasters" or not to show at
all.

The next call is from our friend giving us a serve for
missing the best game of the season!.

There must be a better way!

2) THE BUYER.

It's time to look for our Daughter's first car, so
after checking the bank account we head off to the
local, then not so local used-car lots to get an idea
of what's available.

Well now we know what to look for, so it's time to
start looking through the Local, State, and Trade
newspapers to find the car at a bargain basement price.
A week and two missed games later this small task we've
set ourselves is becoming a chore but we've got to do
the right thing for our all-of-a-sudden grown up
Daughter ( seems like she was in diapers only a year or
so ago!) haven't we?

We eventually succeed of course, and our Daughter is
thrilled, but there must be a better way as our Son
will be wanting his first car next year!

3) THE BETTER WAY

When placing our for-sale ads in the publications
above, or looking through them trying to find what we
want, we often see the heading "wanted". This should
have lots of ads for things people want, but usually
the ads are for "all your jewelry", "all your books'
etc.

WHY?? The answer must be tradition, but it doesn't make
sense as items listed under "wanted" should be ideal
for Buyers and Sellers.

Buyers should place ads there for what they want.
Sellers should look there to find someone who wants
what they're selling.

This Common-Sense way of advertising is called
REVERSE CLASSIFIEDS, and because it's so simple, will
become normal in the near future.

Andy Anderson is the inventor of the word "netwants" in
the English language and has used it to create his
Reverse Classifieds website http://netwants.com where
Buyers place Free ads for what they want and Sellers
look through the ads to find someone who wants what
they're selling. andy@netwants.com

SuperCharged Secret 3 - LIVING IN CREDIT CARD UTOPIA!!!
Tom Levine

5 SuperCharged Secrets to Credit Card Utopia!
Secret 3 of 5
TURBO-CHARGED KILLER RATE SAVING INFORMATION!

Let's just take a brief moment to recap:

If you've been following along on this journey with me, learning the 5 Super-Charged secrets to Credit Card Utopia, then you now know 2 very important things:

a)You now know how to take advantage of zero to low interest credit card offers.

b)You now know that there is safety in numbers, and you know the magic "Who's Who" of the major credit card companies. You know that one of them, in my opinion, stands out for consumers.

With me? Good. These are both essential foundations that you need to follow in order to live in Credit-Card Utopia.

Now, let me flavor it up for you.

What could be better than zero interest credit cards? What could be better than having the best, lowest, guaranteed credit card in your wallet?

1)How about cash? Would that work for you?

How about a big fat check at the end of the year, in the thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars?

Would you like to get PAID thousands of dollars each year, just for spending money that you ALREADY SPEND?

You might realize that I'm not talking DIRECTLY about interest rates. But listen, I can't get much lower then zero interest. I need you to think creatively with me now.

2)Rewards Cards, otherwise known as incentive-based credit cards. Let's start there.
These are no secret. Many of us have rewards cards. I have several, in fact, and I get many rewards for spending with them. I get airline miles, and I get gas vouchers, and I get discounts at online stores-AND-I get Cash.

But let me talk about a HUGE secret that most people are not yet fully exploiting for their personal and financial gain.

3)My family and I are just now getting into making money with Cash-Back offers:

Cash rebates, Cash-Back cards, those are the ones I want to focus on with you here, for a second.

How do these cash-back cards lower your interest rate? Well, at this stage, it's a semantics game, but if you have 9% interest for example, and you use a cash-back credit card that pays you 3% on all transactions-Well, that's like getting a 3% discount on the rate, so your charge is more along the lines of 6%. It's not EXACTLY like that, but you get the point.

More importantly, let's dig deeper.

4)I'm going to tell you how to TURBO-CHARGE this mechanism, and EXPLOIT IT FOR EVERYTHING it's WORTH.

You see, your credit card company wants you to spend as much money as possible with their plastic.

Yes, they'd like to charge you interest on debt. But even if you pay it off every month, did you know that they still make a profit on the transaction from the Merchant fees?

Yes, the credit card charges the merchant a fee for swiping your card. It can range anywhere from 1% to as high as 6%...

It does not impact you the consumer (directly), but it does give you some insight into why you can become business partners with your credit card company.

5)Secret # 3 revealed: Here's what my family and I are doing:

We use our cash-back credit card for EVERYTHING.

We simply have restructured our spending so that all expenses, or almost all expenses, go through our cash-back credit card.

Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, dining, gas-Everything. In fact, as of the writing of this article, American Express has developed a Bill-Pay type system so we are able to actually pay some of our bills using our cash-back credit card.

Can you imagine? A credit card company developing online bill-pay. Now, how SMART is that?

6)Let me ask you something. How much money do you spend every year on expenses?

Don't get your calculator out, because the answer is simple. You basically, spend-.AS MUCH AS YOU MAKE-

The vast majority of us do. So, let me ask you the same question a different way: How much money do you make?

How much is 3% to 5% of that?

I'll give you an example. If the average household income (and expenses) were around $50,000, then that means a savvy consumer, with a cash-back credit card, could generate a check every year of between $1500 and $2500.

7)Holly Cape Canaveral, Batman!!! That's $2500 free cash dollars, every single year!

What would YOU do with all that free money? Buy a vacation, a new TV, some jewelry?

Are you getting it, now?

You must start looking at the Cash-Back credit card as more then just an incentive or reward.

Frankly, it is a new source of income.

8)Now, here's the nitty-gritty on how we do this. It's simple.

The first step, is we gathered all our credit cards, put them in an envelope, and put that envelope in our lockbox in the attic. We replaced all our plastic in our wallet with the cash-back credit card of choice. We also put an emergency debit card in our wallet, but the primary method now for spending, is to use the cash-back card. This takes care of gas, food, restaurants, etc.

The second step, is the process of restructuring expenses through the online bill-pay system with our cash-back credit card company.

We re-route as many expenses as possible through our cash-back card. It takes a little time, and doesn't happen in one day.

But do the legwork. Be a smart consumer like my family and I.

9)There's a perk, too!

The perk is outstanding! Have you considered, that my family and I only really have one payment a month to make? That's the goal we're moving towards anyway.

So, think about how many bills you pay each month. Wouldn't it be nice to just make one payment out for all your expenses, rather then a check to the gas-card, a check to the utilities, a check to the Credit Card Company, etc.?

Think of the convenience and time saved, to just make one payment out each month.

10)A lot of information to take in, yes? Let's pause here:

If you've followed my train of thought, then you've come to the Secret knowledge of how to extract and exploit the power of these cash-back cards for everything they are worth. If you do this, even just the first part, you will take a money saving incentive program, and turbo-charge it into an actual income producing technology!

Pretty, cool, huh? SHHH! It's a Utopian secret.

We've enjoyed providing this information to you, and we wish you the best of luck in your pursuits. Remember to always seek out good advice from those you trust, and never turn your back on your own common sense.

Antique Jewelry: a timeless and elegant adornment

Angela Davis

Antique jewelry is a timeless classic adornment which can never go out of fashion. It is the epitome of ethereal charm, delicate grace and a gentle reminder of a bygone era. It is that jewelry which has been made during and before the early 1900's.

The jewelry has its own unique character which cannot be copied or imitated. In most cases antique jewelry is handcrafted. It has exquisite craftsmanship and a very special whimsical aura surrounding it, which sets it apart from all other jewelry, however beautiful or expensive they maybe. There is an understated classic elegance inherent in the design and styling. Though widely looked upon as being something worn by only those who are older; perceptions are gradually changing. It is now also seen as a very fashionable ornament which is quite in vogue and is worn by almost anyone, irrespective of their age group.

This kind of jewelry is not available in just any departmental store or some other normal jewelry shop, it can most often be found in niche show rooms, exclusive boutiques, and big auction houses and in antique dealer stores. These are the more reliable places from where you can acquire antique jewelry. Though there are many websites online and other shops which sell this kind of jewelry; it is best to be cautious. The reason being that in many cases the antique jewelry being sold is not actually an original . Also you could charged an exorbitant price for a piece which is not actually that expensive. Unless you have a trained eye and know the difference, it is easy to be fooled.

In many cases antique jewelry has also been handed down from one generation to another and is a part of the family heirlooms. Some antique jewelry can actually be quite expensive and a real collectors item.

Just a simple piece of antique jewelry can greatly enhance your over all appearance, add to your appeal and lend a sophisticated charm to your entire persona. Being the beautiful pieces that they are, this jewelry can easily attract attention and can become the focal point of any conversation. However not every one can carry off antique jewelry, you have to have a certain inner beauty and dignity to wear it.

One of the best things about antique jewelry is that its value only appreciates with time. In fact some of the pieces are valuable collector's item and can fetch huge sums of money. They can in the long run, actually prove to be good investments.

Antique jewelry is a wonderful thing to buy for yourself, a delightful possession and also a great thing to gift to some one special in your life. Whether it is your daughter, mother, wife, girlfriend or sister; antique jewelry is that gift which lets the other person know how much they mean to you. Also this jewelry is not just restricted to women; there are beautiful intricate pieces which are there for men too.

So go ahead indulge yourself and relive the beauty of a bygone era.

How to build an Italian Charm Bracelet for a friend!
Rhonda Percell

Italian charm bracelets make great gift ideas for all your family, friends, and co-workers. First, choose either an all silver starter bracelet or a gold trim starter bracelet. Next, choose a few italian charms that describe the gift recipient. Finally, give the completed bracelet as a gift in a nice gift box.

There are a number of different styles of Italian starter bracelets to choose from. Most starter bracelets come with 18 stainless steel italian links. The most popular style is the matte silver bracelet. The matte links don't show the scratches as much while the owner is in the process of building the bracelet. The next popular style is the matte gold-trim bracelet. A shiny version is also available in either the silver or gold trimmed styles. The type of starter bracelet is really just your personal preference. ( To see examples of these starter bracelets go to http://www.mogollonworks.com/italianstarterbracelets.html)

Next, you will want to choose a few Italian charms to place on the starter bracelet. Many people start with the
person's birth stone or zodiac sign. You can also put the person's initials or name on the bracelet using gold letters. If the person is interested in sports or has a hobby, those are also great charms to choose. The possibilities are endless when it comes to designing a special bracelet as a gift.

After you design the bracelet for that special someone, give it as a gift in a nice jewelry gift box. Anyone would love to get an Italian charm bracelet designed just for them. What a great
way to make them feel special on their birthday or any other occasion.

Business Fact #1: There is no such thing as Free Lunch .-

We know that you can probably find some Mexican silver, leather products, rustic handcrafts or furniture marketers on the web for free. But those "sources" will most likely be American companies or individuals that are basically resellers. The truth is that with them as your sources you won't even get close to having the best possible wholesale prices.

To make JUICY profits in the import / export business you definitely MUST get in touch with the real - hard - to - find - low - cost - sources. There is simply no other way to make it BIG in this business. You NEED the Low cost SOURCES. Find them today at Mexico-Store.com

The problem is that discovering real low cost sources can be a difficult, time consuming and expensive mission. Some information providers on the web are charging $30 per manufacturer profile, while others can charge you more than $1000 per business directory, or even a subcription fee to access their trade leads database. But who do you think is listed on their databases? The Mexican manufacturers? or just another reseller eager to sell at a nice profit? Exactly!. Those trade leads databases are mainly filled with lists and lists of intermediaries and marketers that want to make money reselling the product for a heavy profit.

Its all about the profits. YOUR Profits! at Mexico-Store.com .-

Avoid those expensive resellers and get in touch with the real Mexican manufacturers today ! .-

We provide you with all the neccessary contact information including email in many cases.

Some of these silver jewelry, hand crafts and leather products manufacturers do have a website. But that doesn't mean you can easily find them on the search engines. As we all know, its very hard to make it to the top of the search engine rankings and it can take more than 6 months to even get a website listed with them. That and the fact that most Mexican artisans are not as computer savvy as "we all think" are the main reason why you won't find that many websites at all of Mexican manufacturers listed on Google or Yahoo. In many cases their websites are not even optimized for the search engines to list them.

Don't expect to get the best possible prices from those "mexican products providers" that you can find on the web for free.-

Most of the guys and companies that are ranking at the top of the search engine results are basically American companies that are reselling Mexican products. So don't expect to get the best possible prices from them. Don't kid your self.

The Secret Of Silver Jewelry
George Ahrens

When we talk about precious metals we usually mean gold, platinum and another pure metal, fine silver. Silver is one of the original materials of value mentioned in the Bible, together with other originals such as precious gemstones that existed from the beginning of time.

This explains part of the attraction associated with these 'non-virtual' commodities - they existed for a very long time in human history, and presumably even before. Used throughout all generations and nations they have been and are one of the preferred ways to display symbols of value and are used as objects of beauty and style in jewelry. As a form of personal expression and 'street art'.

Thinking of fashion styles we tend to look at clothing, hair styling and makeup first. However accessories are a major part of the outfit. Jewelry one of its coolest forms.

Why is silver jewelry one of the constants that remain throughout history? What is the real mystery and the secret of silver? It's not only its cool attraction -- it is one of the commodities that existed before paper money, and it will retain it's value after currencies are gone.

In a world that goes more virtual by the minute we keep a few valuables that have their own pre-set value outside our current reality. Currencies will go virtual, jewelry will not.

To give you an idea about the differences of investments in tangible and intangible products and how it works out in real life, let me give you an example that nearly did cost me $25.000 in the past.

During the first oil crisis I lived in New Zealand for a few years and had to invest my assets in appropriate channels at that time. Because back then not only oil prices went up, also other commodities such as gold and silver increased slightly in value and I decided to invest some money in metals.

After locating a company that advertised selling of gold bullion, I went to their downtown store and asked a clerk to purchase gold for about $25.000. I never did this kind of investment before and was a bit unsure about where to keep it save from curious people and for the possible event of burglars in the house.

Knowing what was on my mind the clerk asked me that memorable question "would you like to have this in gold options, stocks or physical bullion?" He went through great lengths to explain me the advantages of "gold papers" that follow the value of gold at any time, so increase in value if the gold price further increases. There would be no necessity to actually touch physical things, and I could cash in the papers at any time.

I almost agreed to his offer, when suddenly a small yet bright thought of warning flashed my mind. Something that a goldsmith I met before told me years earlier, he said: "If you ever buy gold, remember the reason why you buy it, and do not buy virtual gold, but the real thing only".

This thought won in the end because my adviser taught me many basic things about jewelry and metals, and I highly respected his opinion. Turned out he was right. Less than 6 months later, the company I bought the bullion from faced bankruptcy and all their options, shares and other papers lost all of their value. I still had my physical gold however, that increased in value by about 10% at that time.

With that example fresh in mind, I personally still make distinctions when I buy personal products that enhance my lifestyle today.

Yes I invest a lot in software for example that enhances my virtual PC desktop, and helps websites function the way they should, and also loose a lot of it every few years when a harddisk or server crashes. I also enjoy the latest designer clothes, however they wear out and generally get damaged by usage over time.

However I keep a small collection of silver and gold jewelry in the same fresh looking condition as I originally bought it many years ago. These items never wear out, never go out of style. And never loose their value. It's the real thing.

Raising Creative Grandchildren

Susan Stump

"Where did he come up with that?" Kids often amaze us with their imaginative ideas, and we should give ourselves a pat on the back for playing a role in this development. Innovative thinking is essential for success in school and in life, and it's our job as parents and grandparents to nurture our kids' innate desire to be creative. Inventive play fosters original thinking, an asset when children are confronted with new situations. By providing activities that use their creativity and imaginations, we are giving our young ones an important tool to deal with life down the road.

Give them ideas.
Children come up with things to do on their own, but we also need to provide them with new ideas of interesting activities. Think back to what you did as a kid. Did you write a diary, create elaborate puppet shows, or sing and dance for relatives? Share ideas from your own childhood experiences. Offer creative writing ideas like writing an episode for a favorite television show or writing a new ending to a favorite story. Craft projects offer another outlet for inspiring imaginations. Craft kits, especially those from Curiosity Kits and ALEX, offer a wide variety of unusual and fun projects. They've brought us a long way from the sock puppets of our youth. These manufacturers offer ideas and supplies to make such things as scrapbooks, powerballs, soaps, candy, sun catchers, dolls, planes, dinosaurs, jewelry treasures, and lots of decorative items. Kids can gather ideas from the instructions, and then give the projects their own unique touches.

Keep ideas fresh.
Pick up any parenting magazine and you'll find lots of ideas to get those creative juices flowing in your kids. Search the web and check out craft stores. Keep a journal or file for magazine clippings and ideas as you find them. Stockpile so that you'll know how to answer the whiny "I'm bored" call from the kids.

Give them freedom.
Once you've given the kids some suggestions and supplies, step back and see which they choose and where they go with them. This unstructured play time gives kids an opportunity to stretch their creative muscles. Watch as they incorporate your ideas and branch out on their own.

Set an example.
Chances are, if you are a creative person, your grandchild will be too. You display creativity in your everyday activities like when you reason with a disgruntled child, change lyrics to songs, and maybe even do some interpretive dancing to entertain a toddler. The children see your silliness and it rubs off on them. It's a great idea to point out to your kids how you use creativity in your daily life.

As parents and grandparents, we always try to do the very best for our kids and provide opportunities that will help them mature into intelligent, capable adults. Nurturing their creative spirits helps them along this road. With their well-developed imaginations, maybe they'll turn it into a yellow brick, pink polka-dotted road with sparkles!

Susan Stump is the mother of two children and the owner of ChildCrafter, Co. - Craft Kits and Subscriptions that Inspire a Child's Imagination. This work-at-home-mom offers a great selection of creative craft kits from ALEX, Quincrafts, and Curiosity Kits from her catalog and website http://www.childcrafter.com.

Forgotten Dreams: At the end...Part I

Forgotten Dreams: At the end...Part I

Treasures of a lifetime...

At the end of your life will you be able to stand at your grave and say I lived and amazing life, I have lived what many
didn't even know they could dream. I have loved, I have cried, and I have experienced all that I could find to experience.

At the end of your life who will you be?

So, often we run from death and morn for what has been lost when another dies. In the book "Tuesdays with Morie," Morie ends
up celebrating his death, by choice, while he was still alive.

How you embrace death is how you will embrace life!

This is a story of a little box. It is a box that is almost as old as Sally. You see Sally decided when she was about five
years of age that this particular box, a shoe box, would be perfect to keep her treasures.

Today at the age of 95 Sally has passed away and her shoe box of treasures, although buried under years of clutter and dust, has survived the journey with her. Sally kept her treasures with her for 90 years. The box quite warn bearing the scars of 90 years of wear and tear was still in tack. Hidden within the box where many of Sally's most treasured memories.

At the age of five Sally decided that her very first treasure would be a flower. It was a small and delicate white flower
filled with purple hues and the softest of scents. It was a flower that filled Sally with great memories and provided her with many smiles over the last 90 years.

Sally use to enjoy laying amongst the tall grass in a near by field while enjoying the company of her grandfather. Sally's
grandfather would sit beside her, resting on an old tree stump, while whittling away at a piece of wood.

On those special mornings Sally would watch the butterflies as they danced around the flowers, giggling as she listened to
grandfather and playing with the occasional ladybug. You see Sally's grandfather loved to tell stories as he whittled away
and the stories were always filled with adventure.

The stories,in one moment, would have Sally anxiously gazing into her grandfather's eyes as she waited to hear what was next, and in the next moment, she would be rolling in the tall grass filled with laughter.

It was at five that Sally's grandfather passed away. As Sally sat upon her grandfather's old tree stump there in the middle
of the tall grass stood a single flower. On this day no other flower could be seen. As Sally gazed upon the flower the
memories came to view and it was then that she knew, the flower was a treasure for her to hold.

The years would come and go, and Sally was always doing something to her treasure box. Her designs including the early
crayon markings, included little paper hearts and wonderful little paintings, all accented with special stones and broken
pieces of jewelry.

Sally was always placing a memory or two into her box of treasure.

Sally was a playful and rambunctious tomboy, and at the age of thirteen was asked to start handling the chores. No longer
could she leave the house at sunrise and return in the late afternoon after a day filed with adventure and sport.

You see Sally could run, jump, and climb with the best of the boys. She could throw and hit a ball with a stick just as well
as any of the boys. Often Sally's play was inspired by the stories her grandfather once told.

With Sally spending the better part of her day tending to her chores. Her only reward was the end of the day, and the
time she was able to spend with her faithful dog, Patches, up in the old tree house.

Life seemed to stop, for Sally, while she was up in the tree house. It was in the tree house that Sally started to write of
her life and the adventures she only dreamed of living.

Sally's diary and stories now where a big part of her treasure box, and the memories she once collected would now lay hidden
and forgotten under the pages of her writing.

Each day was a mystery for Sally as she began to write. As her pencil touched the paper her words would begin to flow. She
would write and write until there was no more to write.

It was around Sally's 16 birthday that her dog Patches passed away. Her companion and loyal friend. Patches, was with her
all the time. As Sally placed Patches' collar into her treasure box, she began to look at the treasures she hadn't viewed in
many years.

A small hand mirror, one her grandma gave to her little princess. Horse hair, from her favorite horse. The skin shed from the biggest king snake she had ever seen. The perfect stone for skipping across the water. The treasures were many, a child's lifetime in memories. Buried underneath it all was Sally's first treasure and the memory of her grandfather.

How life had changed.

Precious Gems of Wisdom

Samantha Stevens

The New Age should also be called The Stone Age, because along with aromatherapy, healing with the vibrations and frequencies emitted by gemstones is at the crux of the movement. Below I have listed seven popular gemstones that also correspond with the divine energies of the Seven Archangels. I will do another article, in the near future that deals with inexpensive semi-precious stones, but chances are that many of you own jewelry already set with the following precious gems. If you don't own any jewelry you can obtain inexpensive, raw, unpolished in stores or on the Internet. Once you have the stone, it is best to wear it someplace your body, which is why so many of these are set in necklaces, bracelets and rings already. You also might want to practice psychometry, which is the intuitive art of holding the stone and sensing its vibration. Some people like to purify raw or unpolished stones, after they have purchased them, by dropping it in a glass of salt for a night. In the case of used jewelry or inherited things, you might want to do this to cleanse it of the energies of the previous owner.
Sapphire:
This stone, which is usually the color of the deep, blue sea, will help give you power, focus and determination. It is a great stone to wear when you feel yourself losing hope, stamina and perseverance. A sapphire helps you to concentrate on the tasks on hand and get things done. It improves your concentration and helps you stay centered throughout your daily activities. This is the stone to wear if you have trouble sitting down and writing 'A Things To Do List'. It is good for those who feel disoriented or spacey or have trouble with their eyesight.
The sapphire corresponds to the energies of the Archangel Micheal, who assists us with mental clarity, and protects us from accidents. So this is a good stone to wear if you are entering a potentially violent, risky or daring situation. It is also a good gem to wear while you are driving.
Yellow Topaz:
This clear yellow gem is the 'problem-solving stone'. It is for those who feel overwhelmed by life. You might have that existential feeling like there is no way out of a situation. Use this stone to help you reconnect with your higher self, as well as to help you physically and emotionally feel human again.
This stone is also good for those who feel 'numbed by disappointment'. It can help release frozen feelings; as well as help you detect the hidden sources of illness in your body. It can help you to embrace new ideas and accept uncomfortable changes. It is used by healers for protection from toxic energies and also to release those who feel oppressed by drunken or abusive partners. It can also help obsessive people learn to let go. It helps you recognize your patterns and see the 'big picture' in life.
Topaz also expands your field of awareness so it is a good stone to wear while sending out resumes or looking for a job. Wearing Topaz helps you connect to the energies of the Archangel Jophiel, who is the angel of Divine inspiration.
Rose Quartz:
Feeling low? Wear a rose quartz to increase your confidence and self-esteem. This light pink crystal heals the heart and promotes a sense of self-appreciation, self-appreciation and self-love. It also helps you open your hearts center so that you can give love,
unconditionally without any expectation of a reward in return. It improves your mood and enhances feelings of joy.
The Rose quartz is a very warm stone and helps you put your own needs first, before others thereby getting rid of that feeling of being taken for granted or being taken advantage of. This crystal also helps those with circulatory and heart problems and because of its warm energy is said to be a tool for healing pain in general.
The rose quartz is also the stone that is carried to increase the circulation of cash flow in your life. It corresponds to the benevolent energies of the Archangel Chamuel, the Angel of Love. This is the angel that always makes sure that you have food on the table, shelter over your head and the tools for your trade.
Diamond:
Clarity is the key word to describe the uses of a diamond for psychological healing. This is the stone to wear if you have trouble making decisions, or are at a loss as to what to do with your life. It also helps those who start things all the time and never finish them.
The diamond is also a stone of communication and aids those who often feel left out of the loop to communicate clearly with others. It is good for those who feel consistently misunderstood or like they are socially invisible.
Diamonds have traditionally symbolized the commitment of one human being to another, but in this case they also symbolize a commitment to taking care of your higher self. The stone vibrates at a frequency that strengthens your intuitive abilities. It helps you perceive beyond surface appearance and understand the truth about another person.
Psychologically, wearing a diamond can help you manifest what you want in your life -- bringing airy-fairy ideals down into physical reality. This stone is excellent for artists, visionaries and inventors. The diamond connects you to the peaceful energies of the Archangel Gabriel, who helps you harmonize conflicts in your life.
Emerald:
This brilliant green stone is used to restore balance. Healers use this an anti-stress stone and to restore harmony to troubled or split personalities. It is good for manic-depressives, drama queens and others who go to emotional extremes.
Traditionally, an emerald was also thought to bring the owner financial security. It is thought to help you learn lessons, so you dont repeat mistakes as well as balance your checkbook!
If you have a problem with the opposite sex, the emerald can help restore the yin/yang energies in your own body and acknowledge your shadow side. It helps to heal such common wounds of the heart such as unrequited love, abandonment and death. It is also used in general to heal emotional upsets.
At the cellular level, the emerald is thought to restore balance at the cellular level. It is thought to reconnect communication between the left and right brain and is useful for those who suffer from inner ear problems or dizziness.
Wearing this stone connects you to the divine energies of the Archangel Raphael -- the Angel of Healing.
Ruby:
This is the best stone to wear when your finances are running low. The blood red light of the ruby helps to dispel feelings of discouragement and self-doubt and infuse your heart, mind and aura with the qualities of success, affluence, attractiveness and personal victory.
This is the stone to wear if you feel like you are drowning in self-pity. It dispels negative self-talk and is thought to increase confidence and beauty. Wear it if you feel like you are isolating too much and would like to participate more in your community. It can help you achieve a vibrant social life and attract the right friends. It teaches you
to love and give and share with others out of a genuine sense of philanthropy and love.
The ruby also increases your physical stamina and endurance, so it is good stone to wear while working out. Physically, it enhances vitality in general and is thought to help those who have trouble waking up on time for work or just getting up in the morning. It is also thought to balance out hormones and the menstrual cycles.
The ruby corresponds to the Archangel Uriel; the Angel responsible for helping you let go of the forces of anti-love such as resentment, jealousy and bitterness so that fresher, loving and abundant forces can take their place.
Amethyst:
This beautiful purple stone that helps you let go of past hurts and relationships. It will help you access the truth that will set you free. If you are a control freak, this is the gem that will help you 'Let Go and Let God'. It will teach you to trust others and delegate tasks. If you are a meddling type, it will also help you to stop gossiping and mind
your own business.
Amethyst has the effect of clearing up the clutter in your life. If you first have nightmares, after wearing one, don't be concerned. Amethysts help release fears and anxieties that might be lurking in your subconscious and preventing you from moving forward and brings them to the surface. It helps release fear and anxiety and also reduces tension and stress in the body. For this reason, it is also a good stone to wear when you have stage fright.
This is the stone you wear if you want to lose weight, quit smoking or halt any other self-defeating behavior. It aids those who are afraid of dying, experiencing the death process or who cannot move beyond the stage of mourning to joy again.
Wearing an amethyst helps you to access the energies of the Archangel Zadkiel - the Angel of Joy. This is the Angel that transmutes negative energy into positive light.

"Using Images in Your Salesletter: Three Tips Guaranteed
Cory Rudl

Placing just one or two carefully selected images within
your salesletter can be worth thousands of dollars in sales.
In fact, just one image that brings your eBook, software,
audio product, or free bonus items to life can have a real
impact on your bottom line!

For consumers, there's no doubt that buying products online
is a whole different ball game compared to buying from a
"bricks and mortar" store. There's no face-to-face
interaction, and they can't touch and examine the product
they are thinking of purchasing.

So anything that you can do to make consumers more
comfortable buying a product online is well worth the
effort. And adding a few images to humanize your web site
and show off your products -- including digital products --
is one way you can do this.

Of course, any images in your sales copy should complement
the copy itself and add to your overall sales message.
Remember, they're not decoration.

In other words... no "stock" images of a man with a
briefcase to illustrate a business product, or of two people
shaking hands to promote a suite of training products!

Remember: Your sales page is valuable real estate, and every
pixel on that screen contributes to the overall impression
visitors will get of you and your products or services -- so
you have to be careful how you use that real estate.

THREE IMAGES YOU MUST HAVE WITHIN YOUR NEWSLETTER

There are three areas in your salesletter where using the
right image can make a HUGE difference to your sales:

1. RIGHT UP FRONT: A picture of you! You might think that
placing a picture of yourself in your copy is a bit
big-headed. Not at all... not only does this establish that
there IS a real person behind your web site, but it also
makes your whole salesletter that much more personal.

Of course, you shouldn't go overboard and scatter your
holiday snaps throughout the copy -- that will just distract
from your sales message. A friendly portrait shot near the
top will do the trick. Obviously, try to choose a good
picture, not just a grainy web cam shot. ;-)

2. WITHIN TESTIMONIALS: Images of satisfied customers. The key
thing with testimonials is to make them credible. Using
pictures of your satisfied customers alongside their
testimonials puts a face to the words, and makes it clear
that these are real, and not faked, testimonials.

So when you receive a good testimonial from a customer,
always ask for a picture. If they have one of themselves
using your product or service... all the better! Don't worry
too much about quality -- the most important thing is that
they are genuine.

3. IN YOUR PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: The product shot! This is the
MOST IMPORTANT of all the three images, and it can make all
the difference when it comes to closing a sale.

The thing is, people shopping online can't touch the
product... so they need to see as much detail as possible
during the sales process so they're comfortable with what
they're buying.

If you sell a tangible product like jewelry or cameras,
then you should place a well-taken shot prominently within
your product copy, as well as next to the "call to action"
when the customer is finally deciding whether to buy.

And if you mention any cool features -- like a special lens
for a camera, for example -- provide an image of this too.
If you sell a software program or training course, you can
also include screenshots and samples.

The key is to make your product look as DESIRABLE as
possible.

At The Internet Marketing Center, we've tested the impact of
images, product shots, and screen captures on sales... and they
really DO make a huge difference.

But what if you sell a digital product like an eBook or
downloadable software? Well, you can still create a
desirable image quickly and cheaply...

TIPS FOR CREATING HIGH-IMPACT EBOOK "COVERS" AND DIGITAL
PRODUCT "BOXES" THAT GENERATE MORE SALES

Of course, a digital eBook doesn't have a physical cover,
and software that customers can download doesn't come in a
box!

But a product image -- even a digitally created one -- that's
placed within the product salescopy and next to the "call to
action" makes people feel like they're buying a "real"
product... and this gives it a lot more value in the eyes of
consumers.

The bottom line is that a good "cover" WILL help you
maximize sales. And a professional-looking "box" image for
other digital products does the same.

So what makes a great eBook cover or digital product box?

- It must look professional. A quick trip through web sites
selling digital products will reveal tons of different
designs, and you'll quickly see which ones work and which
don't.

- It must be eye-catching. Make it something people would
pick up in an offline store. This helps if you want to use
the image to promote your product on other web sites.

- The cover or box must be suitable for the product's
contents. For example, if your product is an eBook on
gardening tips, use a gardening image. Check out the covers
of books on your topic, or the boxes of software, sold in
offline stores to get some ideas.

- Keep the writing on the cover or box to a minimum. Ideally,
you'll want to include just the product's name or title,
sub-title if applicable, and author if applicable (and
only if they are well known in their field). And remember
that the final image will be small, so only include written
content that's absolutely essential.

- Don't go overboard with the colors. No -- bright green and
pink DON'T go together! Try this handy free tool for seeing
which web colors go well together: http://www.colormatch.dk

- Stick to clear, legible fonts. Use fonts like Arial or
Verdana. Avoid "script" or unusual fonts that are hard to
read. And only use one font!

- Give it a 3D appearance with the title repeated on the
spine, and a shadow. This makes it more tangible in the
eyes of the customer.

If you have some design experience, you can take a shot at
creating your cover or package yourself using imaging software
like Photoshop or PhotoImpact.

A word of caution, though... if your design skills are not good,
go to a professional or use custom software. Bad design and
poor-quality images are worse than no images at all, and you
could actually end up losing sales!

Try finding a designer through Elance, or use one of the many
eBook cover design services or software providers available
on the Internet.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Images in your sales copy really can make a difference to
your sales, but only if you use them sparingly and
strategically.

Well-positioned pictures of yourself -- and of your
satisfied customers -- make the customer feel like they are
buying from a real person with real customers -- not just
some anonymous web site.

And eye-catching product shots do a great job of supporting
your salescopy. Your customers won't judge your eBook or
other products on their "covers" or "packaging" alone, but
product images can provide credibility and make your
products more desirable and tangible in the eyes of your
customers.
